Our MTC property is a 17-acre property and has large fields on portions of it. It is a constant battle for our staff and volunteers to keep up with mowing the property and keeping it looking nice for our neighbors and visitors and usable for our events and programs. Several years ago, we purchased a used Walker mower from a man who ran a landscaping business, but it didn’t last long. Currently, we use a small low-end Craftsman riding mower that spends more time broken than running because of the uneven ground and age of the mower. Often, volunteers are seen mowing around the buildings with a push-mower and the fields are left unmowed.
Prices for this item vary widely depending on brand, age, size, etc. We would also be helped by someone who is able to rebuild or replace the motor in our older Walker motor. We have been told that this motor is no longer in production, but perhaps you can help!
Money can be given and designated for the purchase of this at: https://www.missionabq.org/donate or it can be purchased and given in-kind, or perhaps you have an item similar to this laying around that you would like to donate.
